Edwin M. Dalton, 59, West Main Avenue, died Friday evening in Jane Lamb Hospital following an illness of ten days duration. The body reposes in the Wayne Shadduck funeral home, where services will be held at 1:30 o'clock Monday afternoon. The Rev. J.B. Ackman of the First Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Preston Cemetery.
Preston I.O.O.F. lodge will be in charge of the services at the grave.
Edwin M. Dalton was born July 10,1876, near Preston. He was united in marriage to Miss Ellen Boothby, Sept. 8, 1909. He farmed near Preston until 17 years ago when he came to Clinton. He was a member of the First Methodist Episcopal Church and a member of the Preston lodge 252, I.O.O.F.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen; two daughters, Mrs. Luella Stamp, Clinton and Mrs. Opal Andersen, Preston; two grandchildren, Delbert and Betty Stamp, Clinton and one brother, James Dalton of Guiderock, Nebraska.
