Visitation: There will be no public visitation.

SERVICES: 3 p.m. Thursday at Carson and Son Funeral and Cremation Services in Maquoketa with Pastors Merle and Judy Paulsen of Faith United Methodist Church, Baldwin and Monmouth, officiating.

BALDWIN — Mildred E. Willey, 97, of Baldwin, died Tuesday at the Mill Valley Care Center in Bellevue.

Burial will be in Pence Cemetery, rural Baldwin.

She was born Sept. 20, 1908, in Millrock to Bert and Mary Holub Scott. She married LaVerne Willey on Aug. 14, 1929, in Muscatine. He died in 1973.

She graduated from Baldwin High school and attended two years of business school.

She was a homemaker.

She was active in the Baldwin Women’s Club and was a member of Faith United Methodist Church of Baldwin and Monmouth.

Survivors include her children, Marilyn Nothstine and Donn (Nancy) Willey, both of Baldwin; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; six stepgreat-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Phyllis Willey of Maquoketa.

A Mildred E. Willey Memorial Fund has been established.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, one grandchild, one great-grandchild and two sisters.
