Lois L. Rickertsen Johnson

Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Carson and Son Funeral and Cremation Services, Maquoketa.

SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Ascension Lutheran Church, Goose Lake.

BRYANT — Lois L. Rickertsen Johnson, 83, of Byrant, died Sunday at Eagle Point Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clinton.

Burial will be in Center Grove Cemetery.

She was born Feb. 20, 1923, in McIntyre to William and Bertha Weise Peters.

She was educated in Jackson County schools.

She married Arlo Rickertsen on June 29, 1941, in Clinton County. She later married Harry E. Johnson on May 7, 1967; he died in 1996.

She was a homemaker and also worked with Clinton Engines, Maquoketa, and Collis Co., Clinton.

Lois had interests in dancing, gardening and to spend time with her family.

Survivors include her three children, Carlyle Rickertsen of Maquoketa, Kenneth (Joyce) Rickertsen of Clinton, Wayne (Sharon) Rickertsen of Low Moor; three stepchildren; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several stepgrandchildren; several stepgreat-grandchildren; three sisters, Loraine Noshbish of Maquoketa, Arlene Stern of DeWitt and Bernnetta Noble of Davenport. A Lois L. Rickertsen Johnson Memorial Fund has been established.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, one son, two brothers and three sisters.

Death date: Aug. 6, 2006
