Orville N. Clark

Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Carson and Son Funeral and Cremation Services, Maquoketa.

SERVICES: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church, Maquoketa.

MAQUOKETA — Orville N. Clark, 96, of Maquoketa, died Sunday at his home.

Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery, Maquoketa.

He was born March 7, 1910, near Crabbtown in Jackson County to Wilbur B. Clark and Sylvia Doty Clark. He married Irma Pauline Berner on Jan. 26, 1932, in Galena, Ill. She died in 2001.

He was educated in Crabbtown country schools.

He farmed in the Delmar area before retiring to Maquoketa in 1977. In 2000, he and his wife moved to an apartment, and in 2001 he moved in with his daughter, Eleanor.

He was a member of Delmar United Methodist Church. He was a former member of the Clinton County Farm Bureau and the American Angus Association.

Survivors include his children, Juanita (Leonard) Ritter of Bloomington, Minn., Eleanor Blizek of Maquoketa, Barbara (Wayne) Mayberry of Maquoketa and Frank (Kathe) Clark of Eugene, Ore.; 10 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Melba (Loyal) Wiese of DeWitt and Twyla Ballentine of Brenham, Texas.

An Orville N. Clark Memorial Fund has been established.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two brothers and four sisters.
