CLINTON — George R. Boyd, 62, of Clinton, died Saturday at Bluff Terrace Nursing Facility.
Burial will be in Dierk Cemetery, Clinton.
Pallbearers will Tom and Andrew Matje, Lee Boyd, J.D. and Larry Wheaton and Jeremy Jones.
He was born Aug. 21, 1943, in Ottumwa to John and Clara Ranard Boyd. He married Judy Jones on March 19, 1965, in Clinton.
He worked with Allied Steel Co. for more than 19 years and then with International Paper Co. for 15 years before retiring in 2001.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Robert (Sheila) Boyd of DeWitt and David (Kathy) Boyd and James (Lilly) Boyd, both of Clinton; nine grandchildren; two brothers, Donald (Evelyn) Boyd and Richard Boyd, both of Ottumwa; and two sisters, Louise Wheaton and Mrs. Veda “Toots” (John) Randall, both of Ottumwa.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
