Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Clinton Chapel Snell–Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory. Rose Croix service at 7 p.m.

SERVICES: 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Clinton.

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. — Jack W. Anderson, 83, of Schaumburg and formerly of Clinton, died Monday at Alexian Brothers Medical Center, Elk Grove, Ill.

Burial will follow at Clinton Lawn Cemetery.

He was born Dec. 12, 1922, in Clinton to Kenneth C. and Mathilda M. Junge Anderson. He married Aliene Lane in Ames.

He graduated from Clinton High School and Iowa State University with a degree in engineering.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1945 during World War II.

He worked for 33 years with DuPont as an engineer. He served as a power plant superintendent at the Clinton plant.

He was a lifetime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and a member of the Clinton Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include one daughter, Judy (John) Ahrendt of Schaumburg; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Dick (Dottie) Anderson of Wauwatosa, Wis.; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or the American Cancer Society.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and one sister.
