Visitation: 10 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at Golden Gates Funeral Home, 2036 W. 79th St., Chicago. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family with local arrangements.
SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
CAMANCHE — Horace Wilmer, 73, of Camanche and formerly of Clinton, died Saturday at Wyndcrest Nursing Home.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
Burial will be in Restveale Cemetery.
He was born Oct. 30, 1932, in Camden, Ala., to Jesse and Lillian Hicks Wilmer. He married Della Haley in 1952 in Chicago. She died in 2005.
He worked with Monseto Corp., Chicago.
He was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church.
Memorials may be made to the family.
Survivors include one daughter, Betty (Tom) Thompson of Camanche; three grandchildren; seven brothers; three sisters; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two sisters and two brothers.
