Visitation: 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Iowa Veterans Home Chapel, Marshalltown. Pursel-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral chapel.
MARSHALLTOWN — Dennis J. Fredericksen, 55, formerly of Clinton, died Monday at the Iowa Veterans Home, Marshalltown.
Interment will be in Iowa Veterans Home Cemetery, Marshalltown, with full military rites accorded by members of Harry C. Harter Post 839 of the VFW.
He was born June 29, 1951, in Clinton to Alfred F. and Lois L. Wheeler Fredericksen.
He graduated from Clinton High School.
He served in the U.S. Army for 13 years, which included a tour of Vietnam.
Following his discharge from the Army, he was employed as a welder and pipefitter with Archer Daniels Midland.
Survivors include one son, Robert Fredericksen of Altoona; one daughter, Miranda Fredericksen of Maquoketa; four grandchildren; three brothers, Raymond Fredericksen of Clinton, William Fredericksen of Pensacola, Fla., and Kenneth Fredericksen of Poway, Calif.; three sisters, Charlotte Akin of Pensacola and Sonja Pine and Marsha Fredericksen, both of Clinton.
