Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. today and Thursday at Keith and Keith Funeral Home, Ninth Avenue Chapel, Yakima.

SERVICES: 1 p.m. Friday at Central Lutheran Church. 11 a.m. Aug. 1 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Camanche.

YAKIMA, Wash. — Dr. Del Pietscher, 46, of Yakima, died Friday at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital.

Inurnment will be in Davenport at a later date.

He was born March 5, 1960, in Clinton to Dary and Dorothy Heble Pietscher.

He earned a Master of Science in pediatric dentistry from Northwestern University.

He served as lieutenant commander doctor with the U.S. Navy Department of Health and Human Services.

He moved to Washington in 1990 and worked with Indian Health Services, Toppenish. In 1996, he started his own practice in Yakima, specializing in dentistry for children and adolescents.

Survivors include his wife, Michelle, of Yakima; one son, Todd Pietscher of Wapato, Wash.; one daughter, Samantha Pietscher of Harrah, Wash.; one stepdaughter, Melissa Rogers of Harrah; stepchildren, Ian, Jessica and Natalie Follansbee; his mother, Dorothy (Ron) Pietscher of Camanche; father, Dary Pietscher of Clinton; one brother, Charles (Anne) Pietscher of Iowa; two sisters, Melody Paulsen and Dr. Jorie (Jason) Shire of Wisconsin; two grandchildren; and several nieces and a nephew.
