Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home.

SERVICES: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Community Reformed Church, Clinton. The Rev. Darrin DeVries, pastor of Community Reformed Church, will be officiating.

CLINTON — Jane L. Vanderlaan, 88, of Pleasant View Nursing Home, Morrison, Ill., and formerly of Clinton, died Friday at Mercy North Hospital.

She married Bert Vanderlaan on Feb. 9, 1940, in Morrison. He died in 1986.

Pallbearers will be Craig Vanderlaan, Andy Houzenga, David Vanderlaan, Jerry Brackemyer, Jack Bland, Ed Haring, Paul Bebensee and Tim Bush.

Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison.

She was born Aug. 30, 1917, in Morrison to Richard H. and Rika Brilstra Brackemyer.

She was educated in grade schools in rural Whiteside County, Ill.

She was employed with Nielsen’s Coupon Clearing House, Clinton, before retiring in 1977.

She was a member of Community Reformed Church, Clinton, and the church’s Joy Circle. She served as a Sunday school and catechism teacher.

Survivors include two sons, the Rev. Robert (June) Vanderlaan of Rhinebeck, N.Y., and Vernon (Kathy) Vanderlaan of Sterling, Ill.; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Lena Barsema of Fulton, Ill.; and one brother, Richard Brackemyer of Morrison.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter and four brothers.
