HOLM VOLKERS
Holm Volkers, passed away at 1;20o'clock this morning at his home 1705 Fifth street. Death was due to the infirmaties of old age and complications.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the late home.
Services will be conducted by the Rev. A.M. Holz, pastor of the Zion Lutheran church. Burial will be in Springdale cemetary.
Mr. Volkers was born in Germany and was 78 years of age. He came to this country when he was but a boy and came to Clinton where he made his home practically all the time since. He was employed for many years by the Northwestern railway as a painter and later moved into the country, where he refained until twelve years ago and then came back to Clinton and took up his residence in the home in which he died.
He is survived by his wife and two daughters, Mrs Henry Ipsen, of Freeport, Ill, and Mrs. H.D. Williams, of Clinton and one son, John Volkers, of Rockford, Ill.
He was a memeber of the German Society and the Zion German Lutheran church.
