The Clinton Herald Thursday September 9, 1993 p. 16 Harold H. Dierks, of 85, 325 12th Ave. N., died Tuesday at Wyndcrest Nursing Home. The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Pape Funeral Home, with the Rev. Frederick C. Lubs of St. Paul's Lutheran Church officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Pallbearers, all grandchildren, will be John W. Gool II, Jay R. Gool, Jennifer Gool-Eaton, Frank Eaton, Russell A. and Mitchell D. Chase. Mr. Dierks was born Oct. 30, 1907, in Clinton. Herman H. and Meta Andersen Dierks. He married Thelma C. Gifford, March 7, 1934 in Clinton. He and his wife, farmed in rural Clinton retiring and moving to Clinton in 1981. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the Loyal Order of the Moose. He enjoyed playing cards and fishing. He was avid sportsmen and wildlife observer. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. John (Donna) Gool and Mrs. Jack (Connie) Chase, both of Clinton; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. F.E. Margaret McGovern of Ellenton, Fla.; two brothers, Stanley and Delbert Dierks, both of Clinton; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son and a brother. Death date: Sept. 7, 1993.
