Barbara Eggers 05/02/2002 CLINTON, Iowa -- Services for Barbara J. Eggers, Clinton, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Nelson Heesch Funeral Home. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Eggers died Wednesday, May 1, 2002, at Mercy Medical Center-North Campus, Clinton. She worked many years at the Clinton Baseball Club. Barbara Huntley was born April 1, 1940, in Clinton. She married Richard Eggers in 1959 in Clinton. Survivors include her husband, Richard; daughters, Laurie Reafsnider and Dawn Shafer, both of Clinton; sons, Brian, Batavia, Ill., David, Camanche, and Richard H., Clinton; eight grandchildren; and brother, William Huntley, St. Louis

The Clinton Herald Barbara J. Eggers, 62, of Clinton, died Wednesday at Mercy North Hospital in Clinton. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Nelson Heesch Funeral Home. The Rev. James Machen will be officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. She was born on April 1, 1940, in Clinton to Harold and Agnes Franklin Huntley. She marrried Richard Eggers on Dec. 20, 1959, in Clinton. She was a homemaker and also worked for the Clinton Baseball Club. She was a member of the Church of the Open Door. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Laurie (Mike) Reafsnider and Mrs. Dawn (Chad) Shafer of Clinton; three sons, Brian (Dawn) Eggers of Batavia, Ill., David (Heather) Eggers of Camanche and Richard H. (Andrea) Eggers of Clinton eight grandchildren and a brother, William Huntley of St. Louis, Mo. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and a daughter. Death Date: May 1, 2002.
