The Clinton Herald Monday February 4, 1985 p. 12 Mrs. Clifford (Marvel) Eggers, 71, of Route 1, died Sunday at Mercy hospital. The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. John's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Wayne Brinkman officiating. Burial will be in Clinton Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Pape Funeral Home and from 9:30 a.m. until the service hour Wednesday in the church. Pallbearers will be Wayne Mahmens, Harold Dierks, Arnold Jost, Billy Rogis, Eugene Eggers, and Peter Schoel. Mrs. Eggers was born Dec. 11, 1913, in Clinton, to Magnus and Dorothea Langheim Jurgensen. She married Clifford Eggers, Nov. 20, 1935, in Clinton. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and the Odeon Auxiliary. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Wayne C. and Dean, both of Clinton; a daughter, Mrs. Reynold (Karen) Platt of Bryant; 10 grandchildren; twin great-grandsons; four sisters, Mrs. Lester (Bernadine) Petersen of Atlanta, Ga., Mrs. Audrey Rogis, Mrs. Lorraine Munger, and Mrs. Donald (Valeria) Holtz, all of Clinton; and a brother, Wilbur of Clinton. She was preceded in death by a sister.
