SERVICES: 1:30 p.m. Friday at Carson and Son Funeral and Cremation Services, Maquoketa, with the Rev. Ruth Ann Scott officiating.
FORT DODGE — William Brackston Hammer, 30, of Fort Dodge and formerly of Maquoketa, died June 27 at his home.
The body will be cremated.
He was born March 8, 1976, in Iowa City to Duane Green and Pam Hammer. He married Rochelle Stewart Turnham on June 27, 2001, in Fort Dodge.
He attended Maquoketa schools.
He was was employed with Pizza Hut, Fort Dodge.
Survivors include one daughter, Janna Hammer of Maquoketa; his mother, Pam Hammer of Maquoketa; his father and stepmother, Duane (Sandy) Green of Maquoketa; sisters, Loretta Green of Monticello and Chrissie Breitbach and Jenna Breitbach, both of Maquoketa; brothers, J.R. Hammer of Batesville, Ark., and Kenny Breitbach of Maquoketa; one half brother, Mike Green of Clinton; his grandmother, Ruth Hammer of Maquoketa; uncles, Fred Hammer of Batesville, Ark., George Hammer of Maquoketa and Bob (Cathy) Wiese of Spragueville; two nephews; and his wife, Shellie Hammer and her three children, all of Fort Dodge.
A William Brackston Hammer Memorial Fund has been established.
