Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Rush Family Care Service, Onawa, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.

SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Soldier Lutheran Church with the Rev. John Hagberg officiating.

ONAWA — Gregory W. Berg, 35, of Onawa, died Tuesday.

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Sioux City.

He was born Nov. 22, 1970, in Maquoketa to Lorin and Rojean Keil Berg. He married Staci Komarek on June 22 in Elk Point, S.D.

He attended Maquoketa and Preston schools until moving to Mapleton in 1988. He graduated from Maple Valley High School in 1990.

He was a technician with Barry Motors, Danbury; Hoak Motors, Sioux City; and Mac’s Chevrolet, Mapleton; and Berg Construction, Sloan.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Kylee of Onawa; mother and stepfather, Rojean and Dan Scott of Sioux City; father and stepmother, Lorin and Phyllis Berg of Charlotte; mother and father-in-law, Ed and Judy Komarek of Onawa; two brothers, Todd (Sylvia) Berg and Jeff (Jill) Berg, both of Sloan; two stepbrothers, Doug (Deb) Scott of Cedar Rapids and Chris (Katie) Scott of Sloan; one stepsister, Amy (Justin) Ringler of Grinnell; one sister-in-law, Amanda Komarek of Onawa; grandfather, Eldon Kell of Sabula; stepgrandmother, Berniece Andersen of Belmond; grandparents-in-law, Ronnie and Norma Wilder of Joe Komarek of Onawa; and aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, one uncle, one nephew and one cousin.
