CLINTON — Mary Jane Mayer, 86, of Clinton, died March 14 at her home.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
Burial will take place in Monroe, Iowa.
She was born May 14, 1919, in Monroe to Henry Clyde and Ruth Pauline Walliker Jarnagin. She married Merl Gottlieb Mayer in Liberia, Africa, in April 1941. He died in 1975.
Survivors include two daughters, Judith Dalche of Canada and M. Lynn Villarreal of Arizona; two sons, Mark Curtis (Mary Sue) Mayer of Arizona and Marshall Gene (Sue) Mayer of Washington; eight grandchildren; and one stepgranddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and two brothers.
