Visitation: 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Gibson Funeral Home, Erie.

SERVICES: 1:30 p.m. Friday at Erie United Methodist Church.

ERIE, Ill. — Ruby M. Johnson, 79, of Erie, died Monday at her home.

Burial will be in the Erie Cemetery.

She was born Nov. 5, 1926, in rural Erie to Leslie and Alvina Olhsen Seger. She married Roger Butzer on June 30, 1945. He died in 1947. She then married Max F. Johnson in Clinton on Oct. 30, 1948. He died in 1994.

She was a beautician. She also worked with John Deere Spreader Works and the Reisenbigler family.

She was a member of the Denton Schreiner American Legion Auxiliary, Erie United Methodist Church, a card club for 44 years, was an election judge for 25 years, Modern Homemakers and Red Hat Club.

Survivors include her children, Sharon Blumhoff of Erie, Jane Littrel of Erie and Shirley and Chet Masterson of Fenton, Ill.; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and brothers- and sister-in-law, George and Joan Seger of Erie and Harry Seger of Annawan, Ill.

A memorial fund has been established.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, parents, one brother and one sister.
