Visitation: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory.

SERVICES: 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

CLINTON — Eddie P. Ervin, 74, of Clinton, died Saturday at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Iowa City.

Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery.

He was born Dec. 27, 1931, in Jackson, Miss., to Ed and Daisy Hudson Ervin. He married Francis Pfitzer on Sept. 15, 1989, in Davenport.

He graduated from high school.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He was a lifetime member of the VFW, Disabled American Veterans and the American Legion.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Eddie Clark (Kathy) of Rock Island, Ill., and Jimmy Clark of Davenport; one daughter, Daisy Ervin of Davenport; one stepson, Ron Pfitzer of Clinton; one sister-in-law, Jonnie Ruth Blake of Maywood, Ill.; one brother- and sister-in-law, Keith and Toni Bailey of Missouri; five grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; one aunt; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and one sister.

Death date: July 1, 2006
