SERVICES: 1 p.m. June 22 at First United Methodist Church of Bella Vista. The Revs. David Fleming and Pat Bedenhammer officiated. Stockdale Funeral Home, Rogers, Ark., was in charge of arrangements.

CENTERTON, Ark. — The Rev. Richard V. Ihne, 70, of Centerton, died June 18.

He was born Aug. 17, 1935, in Pecatonica, Ill., to the Rev. Albert and Mildred Dorothy Myers Ihne.

He was a 1953 graduate of York Community High School, Thomson, Ill.

He served in the U.S. Army for five years.

He owned his own business before becoming a United Methodist minister in Arkansas. He served churches in Biggers-Reno, Melbourne-Guio-Oxford, Leslie-Marshall, Berryville and Fisher Street-Pleasant Grove, Jonesboro. After retirement, he was an associate pastor of First United Methodist Church of Bella Vista.

He was a master mason, member of Wylie’s Cove Lodge 524 and Bentonville Lodge 56 and 32nd Degree Knights Templar. He was a member of both Scottish and York rite bodies and a member of Scimitar Shrine Temple.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara of Centerton; three children, Sherri (Pete) Logan of Big Lake, Minn., Mike (Lana) Ihne of Centerton and Karen (Leroy) Davis of Bella Vista; four grandchildren; two sisters, Delores (Merle) Prins of Thomson and Diane Saley of Evanston, Ill.; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Gulfside United Methodist Assembly, Box 27, Waveland, MS 39576.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother-in-law and one niece.
