HAWTHORNE, Nev. — Donald D. Schott Jr., 51, of Hawthorne, died Thursday at his home.
He was born June 13, 1955, in Moses Lake, Wash.
He graduated from high school in Savanna, Ill., and Augustana College, Rock Island, Ill.
He was employed as a quality assurance specialist for the Department of Defense. He served many assignments within the states as well as in Italy, Israel, Egypt and Kuwait.
Survivors include his wife, Susan, of Hawthorne.; parents, Don Sr. and Betty of Savanna; one sister, Carrie Garver of Manassas Park, Va., children, Brianna (John) Chance of Sanford, Fla., Jessica Schott of New York City, N.Y., and Jason (Sara) Schott of Holmen, Wis.; one stepson, Danny Saville of England; two grandchildren; and two nephews.
