Thomas B. Maltas

Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory.

SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Thomas Hennen officiating.

CLINTON — Thomas B. Maltas, 72, of Clinton, died Tuesday at Mercy North Hospital.

Military honors will be conducted by Clinton AMVETS Post 28. Following services, the body will be cremated.

He was born Jan. 7, 1934, near Welton to William and Mary Ruchotzke Maltas. He married Doris Smith in 1956. He later married LaVerne Ketelsen in 1973.

He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the United States Navy.

He was employed with Clinton Corn for more than 30 years.

He was a member of Clinton AMVETS Post 28 and a former member of the Clinton Moose Lodge.

Survivors include four daughters, Debra (Donald) Dunlavy of Clinton, Connie (Mike) Motroni of Clinton, Vicki (Carl) Brunson of Clinton and Jodie (Lauren) Lippens of Clinton; one son, Terry (Tammy) Maltas of Clinton; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Dorothy (Ben) Stanek of Bellevue and Marge (Don) Koch of Moline, Ill.

The family requests that memorials be made to the American Heart Association.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters.
