Word has been received of the death of Georgia W. Taylor, 80, of 54 Mount Pleasant Park, Clinton, who died Tuesday,
following an extended illness.
Her body was donated to the University of Iowa for study.
Mrs. Taylor was born Oct. 12, 1913 in LeClaire, Iowa to Charles Patrick and Maude Pearl Hendricks. She married Ray Orte in 1931. They later divorced. She then married James D. Taylor in December of 1941.
She was educated in the Clinton schools and was employed at many different factories and restuarants.
Survivors include her husband, two sons, Marvin Orte of Iowa City, and James Taylor Jr. of Clinton: two daughters Grace Volquardsen and Georganna Craig of Clinton; three sisters, Eve Tomman of Mission, Texas, Betty Hulten of Austin, Texas, and Dorothy Buikema
of Clinton; 19 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, four sisters and three brothers.
