Mrs. Elna M. Witt, 75, 601 6th Ave. DeWitt, died Sunday night in DeWitt Community Hospital after an extended illness.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in McGinnis Funeral Home, with the Rev. Glenn Trost officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

Friends may call from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday.

Mrs. Witt was born Feb. 13, 1900, in Scott County to John and Freda Cronsell Seastrand. She married Herman Witt June 2, 1920, in Clinton. The couple farmed in the McCausland area until moving to DeWitt five years ago. He died in 1973.

Survivors include two sons, Harold and Roland, Clinton; a daughter, Marcella, DeWitt; 8 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; a brother, Maurice Seastrand.

April 13, 1975
