Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. today at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt, with a 7 p.m. vigil service.
SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, DeWitt. The Rev. Robert Harness will be officiating.
DEWITT — Robert L. Mangan, 77, of DeWitt, died Friday at Westwing Place, DeWitt.
Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, DeWitt.
Pallbearers will be Brett and Garrett Mangan, Michael Lawrence, Roger, Steve and Tom Mangan, Ed Keiner, David Stoecker, Rick Lohman, Tom Reed, Ronnie Kair, Dennis Carlsen and all of his nieces and nephews.
He was born May 21, 1929, in rural DeWitt to Thomas and Margaret Shean Mangan. He married Marilyn Edgar on Sept. 22, 1951, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, DeWitt.
He farmed in rural Low Moor and DeWitt prior to moving to DeWitt in 2005.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, DeWitt, and was a fourth degree Knight of Columbus. He also was a member of the Farm Bureau and I Club.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Rick (Gaylene) of DeWitt; two daughters, Sheri (Dale) Nugent of Davenport and Julie (Tom) Lawrence of Rock Island, Ill.; seven grandchildren; one sister, Ellenor Kroymann of DeWitt; and two sisters-in-law, Mary Mangan and MargEl Mangan, both of DeWitt.
