Visitation: 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Mount Carroll Church of God. The Frank-Law-Jones Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church with Pastor Rick Zichefoose officiating.

MOUNT CARROLL, Ill. — Robert L. Hicks, 60, of Mount Carroll, died Friday at his home.

Inurnment will take place in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Zion, Ill., at a later date.

He was born June 28, 1945, to Wilbert C. and Jessie Marie (Fansler) in Kewanee, Ill. He married Terri Wasion on March 20, 1965, in Zion.

He was a 1964 graduate of Kewanee High School and earned an electronics degree from DeVry Institute of Technology in Chicago.

He worked for Gumm Chemical Company in Waukegan, Ill., for 30 years. He was a member of Teamsters Union Local 301, Waukegan Moose Lodge 1329 and the Eagles Club of Waukegan.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Robert L. (Jennifer) Hicks II of Moline, Ill., Daniel M. (Danelle) Hicks of Crown King, Ariz., and Corey Shaun (Joanne) Hicks of Kenosha, Wis.; one daughter, Madalyn Nicole Hicks of Mount Carroll; 10 grandchildren; one brother, Wilbert (Astrid) Hicks Jr. of Germany; one brother-in-law, Frank Mannon of Kewanee; and three sisters, Carol DeRycke of Kewanee, Susan Vincent of Peoria, Ill., and Bonnie Hicks of Kewanee.
