Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Sprank Center at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, LaMotte where a vigil service will be held at 4 p.m. Lahey Funeral and Cremation Services in Maquoketa is in charge of arrangements.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in LaMotte with the Rev. James Chappell officiating.
LAMOTTE — Anna Gebhart, 85, of LaMotte, died Thursday, at Mill Valley Care Center, Bellevue.
Burial will be at Holy Rosary Cemetery, LaMotte.
She was born May 22, 1920, in Emmetsburg, to John J. and Anna Barnett Callaghan. She married Ervin P. Gebhart on Jan. 15, 1945, at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in LaMotte. He died in 2004.
She was a homemaker and spent 13 years as a nurse at Mercy Hospital in Dubuque.
She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, LaMotte, and its Rosary Society, the Bellevue American Legion Auxiliary and Catholic Daughters of Americas of Dubuque.
Survivors include three daughters, Mary Whitaker of Houston, Marge (Leonard) Ernst of Bellevue and Kathy (James) Clasen of Eldridge; five sons, John Gebhart of Colorado Springs, Colo., Thomas (Susan) Gebhart of Papillion, Neb., Fred (Mary) Gebhart of Aurora, Colo., Bill (Tammy) Gebhart of Omaha, Neb., and Peter (Barbara) Gebhart of Andrew; 19 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Mike Callaghan of Emmetsburg.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one sister, five brothers and a daughter-in-law.
