Charles C. Baguss

Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Carson and Son Funeral and Cremation Services, Maquoketa. Cremation rites will be accorded.

MAQUOKETA — Charles C. “Chuck” Baguss, 60, of Maquoketa, died Tuesday at Mercy Hospital, Dubuque.

Graveside services and burial will be at later date at the Monmouth, Iowa, Cemetery. Cremation rites will be accorded following the visitation.

He was born Feb. 6, 1946, in Maquoketa to Oscar Christian and Edna C. Heath Baguss. He married Sharon Bonham on April 22, 1963, in Maquoketa. He then married Marge Tierney in Maquoketa.

He attended Maquoketa schools.

He worked with Clinton Engines, Maquoketa; J.I. Case in the Quad-Cities and for several years at radio station KMAQ. He also worked at the 61 Drive-In Theater, Maquoketa, as a ticket seller and custodian.

Survivors include his children, Jeanie Menard, Charles Baguss, Kimberly Kilberg and Michelle Baguss, all of Davenport, and Katrina Baguss of Independence, Mo.; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Beverly (Donald) Yarolem of Baldwin, Mrs. Elvira (Fred) Donovan of DeWitt and Martha Riniker of Maquoketa; and one brother, Gerald (Dee) Baguss of Maquoketa.

A Charles C. “Chuck” Baguss Memorial Fund has been established.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son.

Death date: April 4, 2006
