Services: 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Pastor Rick Zickefoose of the Mount Carroll Church of God will officiate.
THOMSON, Ill. — Michael John “Mike” Sour, 55, of Thomson, died Thursday at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City.
Interment will be at Lower York Cemetery, Thomson.
He was born Nov. 22, 1950, in Savanna, Ill., to John and Elizabeth Ann (Ditsworth) Sour.
He attended home school.
He worked for five years for the Oregon (Ill.) Shelter Workshop and 25 years for Rolling Hills Progress Center, Lanark, Ill., as a laborer.
He was a Special Olympics athlete.
He attended Argo Fay Methodist Church.
Survivors include his parents; brother, Ronald (Christine) Sour; and sister Laurie Lynn (John) Hill, all of Thomson; and nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Memorials may be made to Rolling Hills Progress Center.
