Norma Jean Jones

SERVICES: 3 p.m. April 1 at Calvary Baptist Church, Savanna, with the Rev. Robert Bridges officiating.

SAVANNA, Ill. — Norma Jean Jones, 79, of Savanna, died Jan. 27 at Mercy North Hospital.

She was born Dec. 8, 1926, to Raymond and Hilda Flowers Schreiner in Savanna.

She graduated from Savanna High School in 1944.

She worked with the Savanna Army Depot and the Garment Factory, Savanna. She also was a homemaker.

She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She also was active with Loyal Star of America and was affiliated with the Ladies’ Red Hat Society.

Survivors include two sons, Arthur L. Jones of Thomson, Ill., and Marlyn of Savanna; former daughters-in-law, Cindy Chambers of Powder Springs, Ga., and Cindy Neal of Rock Falls, Ill.; one son-in-law, Michael Fekete of Cedar Rapids; her stepmother, Eileen Schreiner of McAllester, Okla.; two brothers, Lyle Schreiner of McAllester and William Schreiner of Fulton, Ill.; one sister, Dorothy Hartman of Savanna; one sister-in-law, Janet Schreiner of Savanna; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
