Was Local Preacher in Methodist Church for Several Years.

Yesterday at about 11 o'clock occurred the death of F. M. Mahurim at his residence at 427 1/2 Ninth avenue. Mr. Mahurim has been in failing health for some time, and his death was due directly to pulmonary trouble. Mr. Mahurim was a native of Kentucky, having been born there fifty-four years ago. He lived the greater part of his life, however, in Iowa, residing at Wapello until about four years ago, when he moved to Clinton, residing here since. He leaves three sons and one daughter to mourn his loss. They are: Reuben at Davenport, Walter at Muscatin, Harry at LaCeed, and a daughter Mrs. Boyer.

The deceased was for several years a local preacher in the Methodist church and before coming here did efficient work in the church at Wapello. He served in the church until failing health compelled him to resign.
