Robert Earl Eckstein

ST. JOHNS, Ariz. — Robert Earl Eckstein, 78, of St. Johns and formerly of Clinton, died Feb. 20 in Glendale, Ariz.

Funeral services were Feb. 25 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, St. Johns, Stake Center. Interment was at Westside Cemetery, St. Johns. Burnham Mortuary, St. Johns, handled the arrangements.

He was born Nov. 21, 1927, in Stratford.

He served in the U.S. Navy.

He was an ammunition inspector with the civil service for 15 years.

Survivors include his wife, Norma, of St. Johns; four sons, Daniel (Marilyn) Eckstein of Ely, Steve (Rhonda) Eckstein of Baileyton, Ala., Kevin (Patti) Eckstein of Peoria, Ariz., and Scott (Boots) Eckstein of Cliff, N.M.; two daughters, Melody (Randall) Parkinsen of South Ogden, Utah, and Mari Morales of St. Johns; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, two brothers and one sister.

Death date: Feb. 20, 2006
