MORRISON, Ill. — Kathryn R. Bush, 87, of Morrison, died Tuesday at CGH Medical Center, Sterling, Ill.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Ebenezer Reformed Church, Morrison. The service will be preceded by a 10:15 a.m. family prayer service at the church. The Rev. Jon W. Nienhuis, pastor of Ebenezer Reformed Church, will be officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison.

Pallbearers will be Mark, Abe, Scott, Randy, Josh and Luke Bush, Matthew Carroll, Stefanie Glasgow, Christine Charles and Karla Keilman.

She was born Oct. 15, 1918, in Morrison to Abel and Jennie Swartz Bush. She married Donald E. Bush on Feb. 14, 1940, in Morrison. He died in 1969.

She was educated in the rural Whiteside County schools.

She worked with the Ben Franklin store in Morrison and also as a nurse’s aide at Morrison Community Hospital.

She was a member of Ebenezer Reformed Church where she sang in the choir, was active in the church’s Lydia Society and served as a youth group leader. She volunteered with the American Cancer Society and Northside Elementary School, Morrison. She was a Pink Lady at Morrison Community Hospital, volunteered in the hospital’s lobby shop and sang in the hospital quartet.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Virginia (Terry) Carroll of Galena, Ill.; two sons, Larry (Carolyn) Bush and Steven (Ann) Bush, both of Morrison; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
