Jack Seeser

Jack M. Seeser, 70, of Fulton, IL, died Wednesday, March 1, 2006 at his home in Fulton, IL, after a courageous four year battle with cancer. Services will be held at the First Baptist Church, Clinton on Monday, March 6, 2006 at 10:00 AM. Visitation will be at the First Baptist Church, Clinton on Sunday, March 5, 2006 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Snell-Zornig Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Sean Seeser, Tom Hardersen, Vernon Pals, Allen Petersen, Steve Johnson, Ken Schoenauer, Larry Kramer and Greg Nelson. Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Rogis and Joe Griswold.

Jack was born on September 24, 1935, in Clinton, IA, the son of Arthur J. and Evelyn (Hansen) Seeser. He was a 1953 Clinton High School graduate and attended Clinton Community College.

Jack married Artie Thomsen on December 2, 1956 in Camanche, Iowa.

He was Instrumental and one of the founders of Citizens First Bank, he was on the Board of Directors of Citizens First bank, and Jack was involved with Clinton County Bio Energy. Jack thoroughly enjoyed working, especially working outdoors and boating on the Mississippi.

He was the owner of Eastern Iowa Grain and Fertilizer and Eastern Iowa Propane. He had also owned Mississippi Rent-A-Cruise and was former owner of Clinton Feed and Grain. Jack enjoyed the challenge of various business adventures.

Survivors include: His wife, Artie Seeser of Fulton, IL; daughter, Jane and her husband Dave Willis of Clinton, IA; sons, Brent and his wife Paulette Seeser of Clinton, IA and Randy and his wife Kris Seeser of Clinton, IA; grandchildren, Paige, Brooke and Brenna Seeser, Christopher Kramer and Erin and her husband Joe Draper; his great grandson, Payton “The Boy” Draper; his sister, Arthera Skiff of Clinton, IA; brothers, Richard and his wife Corinne Seeser of Clinton, IA; Gordon Seeser of Harrisburg, PA; and Harlan and his wife Brenda Seeser of Clinton, IA. Jack was preceded in death by his parents. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, Clinton, the Holden Cancer Center at the University of Iowa or to the Mayo Clinic for cancer research.
