Grace Newmarch

DEWITT — Grace M. Newmarch, 87, of DeWitt and formerly of Low Moor, died Thursday at the Kahl Home, Davenport.

Visitation will be from 9 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday at the Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt. Service of Christian Burial is at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev. Jim Kledis will be officiating. Interment will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery.

She was born July 19, 1918, in Elvira to Albert and Anna Sorenson Thompson. She married Arthur George Newmarch on Sept. 22, 1936. He died in 1968.

She and her husband farmed in Low Moor. She was a homemaker and also worked with Tillman's Variety Store.

She was a member of DeWitt United Methodist Church and Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include two sons, Jack (Diana) Newmarch of Cleveland and Paul Newmarch of Dixon, Iowa; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Ruby (Ralph) Allen of Clinton, Mrs. Marge (Willard) Kraft of Fulton, Iowa, and Jeannette Edens of Camanche.

Memorials may be made to DeWitt United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one grandchild, one sister and one brother.
