BIG ROCK — Frances Rae “Fran” Phillips, 66, of Big Rock, died Friday at Wheatland Manor, Wheatland.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. service time Tuesday at God’s Family Baptist Church, Grand Mound. The Rev. Larry Pruitt will be officiating.

She was born June 4, 1939, in Davenport to George and Erna Geu Bentrott.

She received training as a stewardess early in her life.

She worked as a secretary with the U.S. Marine Corps, Washington, D.C, and radio station WOC, Dixon Telephone and the Wapsi Environmental Center.

She was a member of God’s Family Baptist Church, Grand Mound.

Survivors include one brother, George (Helen) Bentrott of DeWitt; one niece; one great-nephew and two great-nieces; and one aunt, June Petersen of St. Charles, Ill.
