PROGRESSING – Work on the new saw mill in the upper part of town is progressing finely. A great deal of work has been done, adjacent building have been removed, and the building of the saw mill proper having been enlarged to double it former width and made somewhat longer. The smoke stack-a fine piece of work by Mr. Johnson, of Clinton-approaches completion, and it is thought, with favorable weather, will be finished in ten days. Mr. Batchelder and Mr. Wells, under whose personal supervision the work is going forward, feel confident that they will be able to start up the new mill by the first of next month-perhaps a few days earlier. When fairly started we will have something more to say about this mill and its enterprising proprietors. - Mirror
