The Clinton Age, May 12, 1871

A Mrs. Burroughs and a young man named Traer, have been arrested on a charge of attempting to poison the husband of the former. Traer was the hired man. Mrs. B. is about 40 years old. She says Mr. B. loved the hired girl and she loved the young man, but denies any criminal relation with him, and also denies any attempt to poison.
