James M. Rodman, station agent for the C. B. & Q. and B., C. R. & N. railroads here, came near meeting a sudden death Monday evening. Mr. Rodman attempted to run ahead of C. & N. W. passenger No. 7. arriving here at 5:30 p.m. and when on the track he stubbed his foot and fell. Baggageman George Vickerstaff saw the accident and ran hastily to him and pulled him off the track, just as the engine reached the place. Herald.
