Mr. E. S. James was riding on his bicycle Friday night, and when near the Episcopal Church in Lyons, he ran over a piece of wood, which threw him from his wheel in front of an electric street car. The motorman quickly reversed the car and stopped it in time to save Mr. James’ life but the wheel was badly demolished. Mr. James received bruises on his legs and arms but luckily escaped serious injury.
