FAST TRAIN DEALS DEATH TO DAN FARLO

Dan Farlo, a workman employed by the Milwaukee railway in a gang putting in cement work at this station, met instant death this afternoon by being struck by a locomotive attached to west bound passenger train No. 19.

A freight train east bound was the opposite track and Farlo crossed in the rear of this train evidently not hearing the fast passenger train approach from the opposite direction. The engine struck him squarely and hurled his body fully fifty feet to the side of the right of way. Life was extinct when witnesses to the tragedy reached the prostrate form. The body was taken to Balster's undertaking parlors and the coroner notified.

Deceased was a native of Serbia. One or two relatives are known to reside in this country and efforts will be made to locate them before making final disposition of the remains.
