The Clinton Herald Tuesday September 2, 1997 p. 5 Victor and Martha Burken of Clinton are celebrating their 60th anniversary. An open house will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Sept. 21 in the Clinton Moose Home. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. It is requested that gifts be omitted. An anniversary Mass will be 11 a.m. Oct. 5 at St. Boniface Church. The former Martha Feller and Burken were married Oct. 5, 1937 in Clinton. They are the parents of 14 children; Dora Meyer of Preston; Jerome, Loran, Earl, David and Donald Burker, Judy Farrell and Marietta Trenkamp, all of Clinton; Lois Miller of Stockton, Ill.; and Lee Burken of Spragueville; Eugene and Daniel Burken, both of Miles; and Elaine Holdgrafer and Anna Lorenzen, both of Bryant. They have 47 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. The couple farmed in Jackson and Clinton County their entire married life.
