The Clinton Herald Tuesday September 2, 1997 p. 5 Earl and Bernice Schluns, 541 Third Ave. South, celebrated their 50th anniversary. A family reunion was Aug.9 in Quantum. A trip to Great Britain was taken to celebrate the occasion. The former Bernice Leonard and Schluns were married Sept. 10, 1947, in Clinton. They are the parents of 17 children; Linda Dietterich of Brodheadsville, Pa.; Patricia Kitchen of Katy, Texas; Mary Crider of Camanche; Jane Carolus of Sugerland, Texas; Ann White, LaVonne Thompson and John Schluns, all of Clinton; Maureen Voss of Broomfield, Colo.; Teresa Whaelon of Wayne, N.J.; Martin Schluns of Williamstown, W.Va.; Don Schluns of Las Vegas, Nev.; Leonard Schluns of Farmington, Conn.; Robert Schluns of Roscoe, Ill.; Julie DeValois of Northgleen, Colo.; Kathleen Watt of Franklinvile, N.J.; Lisa Luft of Des Moines, and Janine DeVries of Mechanicsville. They have 38 grandchildren ans five great-grandchildren. He was employed with DuPont. She was a registered nurse.
