The Clinton Herald Tuesday August 25, 1998 p. 5 John Gluesing of Charlotte is celebrating his 90th birthday. A family gathering is being planned for Sept. 6. Also he and his wife will celebrate their 63rd anniversary. He was born Sept. 12, 1908, in Charlotte. He married Alfreida Ploog, Sept. 11, 1935. He is the father of three children: Mrs. France (Kenneth) Beer of DeWitt; Harlan Gluesing of Clinton; and Wayne Gluesing of Camanche. He has eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He and his wife have lived their entire married life in Charlotte. He retired as manager of the Charlotte Lumber Co. in 1974.
