Last Will and Testament of Jane Dingwell

I Jane Dingwell of Dewitt in the County of Clinton and State of Iowa being of sound mind and memory and understanding do publish and declare this to be my last will and testament according to which I wish my real estate and personal property to be disposed of after my decease.

I hereby appoint Mr. James N. Arthur of DeWitt Iowa to be the executor (without bond) of this my last will and testament with power to sell any and all real estate belonging to me at the time of my decease and to pay the proceeds of the sale of said real estate to the persons hereinafter named.

I also authorize the above named executor to collect all notes and accounts belonging to me and to pay all my just debts.
After all my just debts are paid I direct and empower the above named executor James N. Arthur to pay to my brother Samuel Dingwell or Mont Clink Ireland the sum of one hundred dollars annually during the term of his natural life.
I give and bequeath the remainder of the proceeds of the sale of real estate and personal property to my nephew Andrew Dingwell, the sum to be held in trust by James N. Arthur until the said Andrew Dingwell becomes 21 years of age.
I also hereby direct the said James N. Arthur to pay the expenses necessary to board and cloth and educate the said Andrew Dingwell till he becomes of age out of the money given to him in trust for Andrew Dingwell.

In witness whereof I Jane Dingwell the testatrix have to this my last will and testament set my hand this 21st. day of July in the year of our Lord 1880.

I William Kreim, clerk of the District Court in and for said County do hereby certify that on this day at the April Term A. D. 1888 of said Court the will and instrument in writing hereunto annexed and bearing date in the 21st day of July 1880 was duly proved before and allowed by said court as and for the last will and testament of the real and personal estate of Jane Dingwell late of said County deceased and was by said Court ordered to be recorded as such will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto at my hand and affixed the seal of the court at my office in Clinton in said County this 1st day of May
