The Clinton Herald Saturday August 30, 1952 p. 3 Marriage vows were spoken at 4 o'clock this afternoon in Minocqua, Wis., by Mavoureen Graham, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Brauman of Piper City, Ill., and William F. Iten, son of Mr. and Mrs. William H. Iten, 835 5th Ave. S. The ceremony was held in the Iten summer home before the fireplace, banked with pine boughs and lighted white tapers in birch log candelabra. Rev. Verne A. Spindell, pastor of the First Congregational church was the officiant at the rites in the presence of the immediate family of the bridegroom and Mrs. Spindell. Miss Faye Iten, sister of the bridegroom and his father W.H. Iten were the attendants. Following a honeymoon to points in northern Wisconsin the newlyweds will be at home after Sept. 6 at 704 S. Clark St., Davenport. The bride, who attended the University of Illinois and majored in music, is a member of Sigma Alpha Iota honorary music sorority, and has been program director at the Clinton Y.W.C.A. the past year. Mr. Iten is a graduate of the college of commerce of Northwestern university and is affiliated with Sigma Nu fraternity. He also is a member of Western Star lodge 100 A.F. and A.M. DeMolay consistory and coordinate bodies and Kaaba shrine. He is secretary and treasurer of the Quad-City Litho Printing company of Davenport. During World War II he served with the U.S. navy.
