The Clinton Herald Saturday June 29, 1935 p. 3 The wedding of Mrs. Alfred E. Walsh and James McAlear, both of the Belmont hotel, Chicago, was solemnized June 22 in Our Lady of Mr. Carmel church, Chicago, the Rev. Arnold Joseph Garvy, S.J., a brother of the bride officiating. The former husband of Mrs. McAlear, the late Alfred E. Walsh of Clinton and Davenport, was a brother of Eugene Walsh, Mrs. R.P. Carney and the late James W. Walsh of Davenport, and Mark A. Walsh and Charles H. Walsh of Burlington. She resided in Davenport until about 15 years ago. After the ceremony, Mr. McAlear and his bride left for the east. They plan to join Mrs. McAlear's sister, Mrs. William J. Lawlor of Chicago, and daughter, Miss Dorothy Walsh, in New York, for a cruise to the North Cape on the S.S. Reliance.
