The Clinton Herald Thursday April 25, 1946 p. 14 Lost Nation - Miss Dorothy Lasack, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lasack of Lost Nation, and Leo Welsh, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Welsh of DeWitt, were united in marriage at 9 a.m. Wednesday in Sacred Heart church, with the Rev. H.E. O'Connor officiating at the double-ring ceremony and the nuptial mass. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Blanche, and her cousin, Miss Marcella Rundock of Cresco. The bridegroom's attendants were John Seiffer of DeWitt and Charles Lasack, brother of the bride. Little Carol Brauer was flower girl. Raymond Welsh and Emil Lasack, the ushers and the acolytes were Paul Wolfe and Raymond Burke. Mrs. J. E. Wolfe presided at the organ and vocal selections were by Mrs. Paul Seng. The bride wore a long white satin gown with a net overskirt ending in a long train. The basque waist was fashioned with a sweetheart neckline and the long sleeves ended in points over her hands. She wore a string of pearls and carried a white rosary. Her finger tip veil of fine lace was held in place with a tiara of seed pearls, and she carried a bouquet of white roses. Her sister, Miss Blanche, wore a floor length dress of pink silk, basque waist and full skirt. A blush veil of pink was held in place by flowers and she carried a mixed bouquet of spring flowers. Miss Rundock wore a floor-length gown of pink crepe trimmed with blue, her blue blush veil was held in place by flowers and she also carried a bouquet of spring flowers. The little flower girl, Carol Brauer, wore a long white dress and carried a basket of flowers which were strewn in the aisle before the bride and bridegroom. A wedding dinner was served in the home of the bride's parents. A wedding dance was held Wednesday night in DeWitt. After a short trip Mr. and Mrs. Welsh will make their home on the bridegroom's parents farm northeast of DeWitt. For her going away costume, the bride wore a green dress with fuchsia coat and accessories to match. The bride is a graduate of the local high school with the class of 1944. The bridegroom attended the DeWitt school and for the past year has been associated with his father in farming. Several post nuptial showers are being planned for the couple on their return from their trip.
