The Lyons Mirror Saturday March 10, 1877 Saturday last we published the names of the nominees of the caucus ratifying the selection of Mr. Moeszinger as candidate for Mayor and that evening another caucus, in Mayor Hannaher's interest, re-nominated him, adopted the candidates of the other meeting for Treasurer and Assessor, and the "hose boys" set up several Aldermanic candidates. The result of the election is found in this table.
We heartily congratulate the city on choosing for Mayor a man of years and experience in public affairs, public spirit and intelligence, and of well recognized reputation and business capacity; and also trust that the Council with which he is to work will prove equal to its duties.
