An Elopement

Davenport Democrat: B. D. Arrell, clerk in a hardware store in Moline, and Miss Ruth Ferguson, lovers, have each left that city on a visit, the young man giving it out that he was going to Clinton and the young lady giving Dubuque as her destination. As neither have returned at the time appointed, and as it is learned that the young man bought two tickets for Dubuque at the time of his departure, it looks like an elopement. If so it must have been entered into from a desire sensationalism, for there was no opposition to their marriage on the part of the parents.
